The staff are very nice, friendly and attentive. The breakfast served every morning is a great way to start a day, especially with free coffee. Overall the only downside is that it’s located near train tracks, although that is out of La Tairona’s hands. Overall I would highly recommend

A group of students and I had the opportunity to stay here for 7 weeks, and I am happy to say that this is a great place to stay. First, the location is good. It is safe and close to a mall, convenience store, and a taco bell, with other places in close walking distance. The staff here is amazing. Every worker is extremely nice and fun to talk to about anything. They helped us plan trips from the hotel and gave us tons of advice about local activities and restaurants. The rooms are nice and cleaned by the staff daily. Only slight complaint from us was with cooking equipment but someone staying for less time wouldn’t have that issue. Lastly, thank you to everyone at the Tairona for making us feel at home for the past 7 week. Pura Vida!

Stayed here for the past two weeks and staff were great. Fresh breakfast every morning, housekeeping is fast, and staff are very willing to help with directions/recommendations. It is difficult to do laundry and since there's no dryer, it leaves your clothes mildewy. They make the beds, but don't wash the sheets.

We have found Aparthotel Tairona to be clean, comfortable and with plenty of room. Francisco was very helpful and informative. Francisco went out of his way to find answers to our questions regarding tour options. We could not ask for a better host/ hotel manager. The location was central for us in our activities in and near San Jose. We can easily recommend this hotel to travellers in need of a rest from hectic travels.

The staff was nice and the place had indoor parking which was important for my stay in San Jose. Unfortunately the WiFi at the place was probably the worst I've used since dial up. It took me over an hour to book a tour event which should have taken 5-10 minutes due to it cutting in and out. When staying at a hotel WiFi is so essential for looking up activities and restaurants but I had to ultimately switch to my own data, which was limited while in the country, to search for anything. This flaw is huge for a hotel and enough for me to never recommend this place to anyone staying in San Jose.
